Privacy Policy
Last updated November 2026
AnnoyMe lets people send anonymous messages to account owners through a personal link. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Account owners
We store your username, email, password (securely hashed by our auth provider), avatar choice, bio, settings and the messages you receive. Your email is never shown publicly.
Anonymous senders
Senders don't create accounts. We do not store your IP address. To stop spam and abuse we keep a one-way, salted hash derived from your connection, which cannot be turned back into your IP and is never shown to the recipient. It is used only for rate limits and blocks.
Replies
After sending, you get a private reply link. Anyone with that link can see the recipient's reply, so keep it to yourself.
Moderation
Messages are automatically checked for threats, hate speech and spam. Reported messages may be reviewed by our moderators.
Deletion
Recipients can delete any message at any time. To delete your account, contact us and we will remove your profile and messages.
